Well, this doesn't really have to do with anything about DA or my tablet or anything, but I am still really impacted about what just happened.

So yesterday our town had a vote whether or not to increase school tax... and long story short it didn't pass...

A lot of the classes I signed up for are cut now. Journalism, creative writing... there won't even be a band next year! Our school was known for our art and music wings, but now they are all gone and it's really terrible. I just started high school too, so now that our high school is slowly deteriorating my education doesn't seem too great anymore.

My parents had always told me that I either get a full scholarship to a college or I don't go, and I was hoping that all of the extracurricular classes that I was planning to take would increase my chances, but now they are non-existent courses.

I understand why people would vote no, since our taxes are pretty high to begin with, but the tax wasn't even going to increase a whole lot. Everyone just had to pay $1,200 more every year, which in retrospect isn't much at all. Not to mention I live in a fairly well off town, so the people living here really only have to stop eating out so much or stop buying an entirely new wardrobe every time the seasons change.

It's just ridiculous, and I just don't know what to do... how am I supposed to get a career in literature when all English classes are cut?
